19 May 2011 Tiong Seng Recognised for Built Environment Leadership and Workplace Health and Safety on Local and International Shores
Tiong Seng was lauded for its commitment to construction excellence. It became the first builder to win BCA's Built Environment Leadership (Platinum) Award since the inception of this Award in 2009. This is the highest accolade for BCA's Leadership Awards which aims to recognize outstanding organization for excellence and leadership in shaping a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment in Singapore. Two of Tiong Seng's completed projects – St. Regis Hotel & Residences and Parc Emily – also won the inaugural Construction Productivity Award in the Platinum category. Tiong Seng also attained the Green and Gracious Builder Award (Star Category), which is the highest tier in the Green and Gracious Builder Awards. Tiong Seng's achievements in workplace health and safety management are also recognized internationally. The United Kingdom-based Royal Society For The Prevention Of Accidents (RoSPA) has named Tiong Seng as the Sector Winner (for the Housebuilding & Property Development Sector) in its Occupational Health & Safety Awards 2011 - the highest achievement in the category. This competitive Sector Award recognises organisations that have demonstrated excellence in health and safety management in their spheres of influence. This year, Tiong Seng also garnered Gold and Silver RoSPA Awards for numerous projects.
